Historically, Pablo hasn't had this problem. Maybe age is taking its toll, maybe the change of location (playing in Boston), who knows. There were years where his stats were very similar, in fact in 2012 he actually hit left handed pitching from the right better than right handed pitchers from the left.
He is a natural lefty, who learned how to play right handed, one of those natural talents who can function equally left or right. He is amazing to watch, the rare times I get to see him, because every ball is fair game. He swings at some mess, and still golfs balls over the fence. I suspect, by the end of the season, both of his numbers will be within .50 of one another. |
