seriously?

Ok I have very little problem with folks looking to innovate and with cycling I think there have been some great ones.

So for all of you who just cannot get comfortable and don't know how to let a few psi out of your crazy rubber things around your wheels I present to you a lawsuit in the making.

I get solving problems, but good grief!

Now, if this happens to be anyone here who has come up with this, then omg what an amazingly brilliant idea and thank you for making cycling even better.

The idea is not bad at all but is not something I would buy.

Too bad you get butt-hurt about someone else's ingenuity. Pun intended.

The test was done on a TREK 2200. So as long as you don't ride one of those, you can forgo the spring

well good point. Ok, so who is going to pick one up and test it for us and report back how amazing it is?

It's made of steel, wouldn't titanium have been a better material for this?

But then you'd think it was a King Cage for underneath your saddle.

Oh, somebody will, don't worry. Then carbon. Then aero. Then elastomer bushings. Then ceramic bearings. Drillium for the classic look.

Reversed, for the tri-and-TT crowd. This thing's a gold mine.

Spring

So if you are pedaling from a seated position and this thing flexes its gonna mess up your spinning mechanics, right? I mean if the spring deflects then the distance of seat to pedal will be different so that cant be good. If it does not flex then there is no advantage from a comfort perspective. Not sure this makes any sense unless you are just a casual rider.

I looks like it flexes enough to take the edge off.
I think the big problem with this design is saddle position. Too far back means more flex and saddle pointing upward, too far forward less flex and saddle pointing downward. There will be compromises with this design.

This will have to do until Brooks puts some springs under their C19.

An inexpensive way to add height to an ISP cut too short?

How about going with one of the sprung Brooks models? There's the b33, b67, and the b135 that I'm aware of.

Just think if someone was riding that and hit something hard enough to collapse the springs... YEOUCH!
