OT: I found my monster! (pet rock content)

Painted this little guy years ago, then he wandered off and went missing, now I find him in a pile of rocks bare as the day he first wandered in! Sweet! Actually he is a Desert Yeti. He is a good monster, for the most part benevolent and very misunderstood. I will have to bring him back to life...

So, this post could tie in nicely to the "what ya bin Drinkin'" thread.

I thought about adopting this one this past Summer. However, he looked happy being out on the Olympic Penninsula, so I left him there...

Alas my pet rocks are not cycling related, at least not yet.

I call this one... "Oh Kylo"

Oh man sorry to hear that, a man way ahead of his time. I wonder if he was related to Roald Dahl? If so, genius surely runs in the family.

Not lame at all. Merely confirmation that humans will anthropomorphize just about anything.

My favorite example of this is the videos of those "Big Dog" robots built by some company in the Boston area. In one of them a robot is negotiating a difficult hilly, rocky terrain when it stumbles - whenever I see that portion of the video (which overall is pretty cool) I can't help but feel "sorry" for it.

Perhaps, but that assumes that they don't consider people like CorB to be evil kidnappers who take a rock away from its true family and keep it in a sterile, mind-numbing environment.

It's actually pretty cruel, if you think about it. Even worse than Sea World.

FREE THE PET ROCKS !!!!

Meet Susanna…

While I’m name dropping Celentano, anybody remember Ornella Muti? Sometimes I wish I was born Italian.

This one is a double feature! A Skeksi or an alien…

Weird I am finding more scowling faces than smiling ones.
