ELEVEN vélo

Hi All,

Gerard here from ELEVEN vélo, we're happy to be aboard The Paceline. I thought it might be good to introduce ourselves...

I was writing one of those awful press release things, as one must do, and accidentally came up with a line that ideally describes just what it is we do -

"ELEVEN vélo is to cycling clothing what the custom frame builder is to bicycles.".

As our banner up there suggests, we make bespoke clothing using a 100% pure Superfine Merino that's grown, woven and dyed in Australia, combining it with a selection of materials that come to us from Italy, Switzerland and Germany - I'm pretty fanatical about the provenance of the base materials we use.

ELEVEN vélo's been going for a tad over a year and prior to that we'd been designing and making cycling gear, as well as selling and designing frames, running events and all manner of other bike things, for 11 years (total coincidence with our name btw). Everything we do is made here in Sydney, even cut by yours truly, and sent around the world - the extent to which these days amazes even me!

Anyway, I hope you can swing by and see what we do at http://www.eleven.cc, playing around with our 'colour builders' can be a great time waster at work.... not that I ever said that! And I'm usually always around ready to answer any questions people may have.

Cheers,

Gerard

I'm seriously contemplating your merino cycling cap, in the exact color displayed at your site. Is there elastic in the back? Return shipping must be a major hassle for those of us in the U.S.

Hey Bluesea,

Yep, an elastic in the back and we are now offering it in three sizes (have to update the website later today for that!!).

For US returns (and all others for that matter), it really depends what it is as to how we handle it. No matter which way we do it though, we wear the cost, so it's all no fuss on your end.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Gerard

Hey, where did the Eleven Vélo color theme cap go? I see you added the color chooser for the caps, but I really liked the colors of the Eleven Vélo version. It would be nice if this was a standard option.

Hey Keith,

You mean this one: http://www.eleven.cc/shop/merino-cycling-cap/ ? We've been updating the site over the past two days, so there may have been some strange link issues. I was wondering what happened to the pic you posted here.

If you want a 'proper' ELEVEN vélo colour scheme, it would be Light Blue w/ red centre and black stripe.

And Joachim, yup, they have been super popular.

Cheers Guys!

Gerard

Thanks for the link. I thought the one that was there matched the colors of your logo...which I personally like quite a bit!

For anyone that might be interested in knowing a little more about our kit, a review has just gone live. Nick's used the kit for a good long while, so it's a pretty honest appraisal.

Find the review here
