5800 Crankarm Logo Removal

Has anyone ever tried to remove the lettering "Shimano 105" from a 105/5800 crankarm? If so, how did it go and what remover did you use?

(In case you're wondering, I have a dark/gray black Ultegra 6700 crank, and am thinking about getting a Stages PM for it. The best match is the 5800, except for the logo.)
