La Monarca is a small chain of panaderias (Mexican bakery), selling Mexican pastries and specialty coffee drinks. The business plan for La Monarca seems to be modeled after Starbucks as the owners are two Stanford MBAs from Monterey, Mexico. Interestingly, they build their bread boutiques in both historically Latino communities (Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles, Huntington Park) and in affluent, predominantly white cities (Santa Monica, South Pasadena). Check them out!

Even though the path leads to the office, and even though 25c at 95psi is far from ideal for rocky paths, it sure is nice to be in the woods on dirt before work if only for a few minutes.

Forty-five degrees made it super nice. I haven't done a ride without lights since August! The new-to-me C13 was a joy to ride.
