This derailleur upgrade kit, which includes both jockey wheels with a composite derailleur cage retails for a jaw-dropping €1,500 / $1,700.

I absolutely LOVE stuff like that! Every one of those that sells is $1700 that doesn't get spent on the stuff I want to buy... thereby driving demand, and hence price, downward.
