I looked on their website yesterday after seeing this thread, and it really is incredible how affordable these bikes are. There are a lot of them in my city - its a Marinoni town - and they look so nice.
Ironically, I stopped for milk at the grocery store on the way home last night, and a guy locked up his beaten Fango CX bike next to mine. A very nice and very chatty guy who said it is his only bike and he rides daily, then strips off the tires and puts on knobbies and mud rides when he feels like it. To top it all off, he had beaten up new-style Veloce parts on it - it was a thing of beauty, all covered in road grit, electrical tape and a torn saddle and it was only about 4yrs old he said! |

If you think it's cheap in CDN$ it's a damn steal in US$. The Piuma Supreme would be my first and only choice if I was in the market for custom steel right now.

Yes, it would be about $1000US for a custom steel frame built by a master. Crazy! it sounds like Guiseppe is rarely welding these days, but I assume that his protégés are making the grade quite nicely.

I don't think he does any of the welding, though he was brazing the retro lugged model in 2015 when I got mines. Seems like such a character that he'd be pretty demanding of anyone building under his name!

Looks like he does alright with the "Tomatoes" to me, last time he was in town. Made the the picture, behind in the blue Patagonia jacket and shorts.
