Who here among us has not had a pharmaceutical company accidentally deliver a big box of PEDs only to have the mistake discovered by an underling who opened a box he was not supposed to open? It happens every day.

Yep, happens all the time at my house. I order viagra, end up with exlax. Always a disapointment.

Cheating In Cycling? Ya Don't Say?

The more things, aw heck, ain't nothing changed. The funny part for me is that as soon as one golden calf gets stripped, we promptly raise another one in it's place. Like all this didn't happen before Lance and that it stopped after, who? Floyd? Contador? Evans? Wiggins? Froome?

Just to confirm that old tricks die hard, an AG2R rider, Romain Bardet, was caught and disqualified for holding onto the team car after the crash for a tow back to the group, a'la Vincenzo Nibali:

Speaking of Nibali, what a great video of him getting caught that will live in infamy:

this belies my ignorance but are there more local/amateur races than the TdF and pro-tour that have less of a pressure to taint/dope?

LOL... it is usefull at the time to pick up a super big trophy, you will have something to hold it from under hehehe

This reminds me and it is a true story. back in LA olympics... 84? 86?? cant remember, one of the brazillian riders for the gran fondo started with aches and pain in the lower abdomen, nobody knew what was wrong with the dude. The doc of my country delegation asked him if he took some hormones or something, well the dude took progesterone and a lot of it because he heard was going to make him go faster

That may not be as strange as it sounds.

Progesterone can be converted both to estrogen and testosteron in a man so potentially one could have a positive effect from increased T and or E for a while.

Progesterone is seen as a female hormone because its required and increased during pregnancy. But if I'm not wrong (dont have time to google) a normal man would produce more progesterone than a non pregnant woman on average or at least very close. Believe its produced in the testies.

Can't wait for some B samples to be retested, to find testosterone... will be interesting to hear how they 'accidentally' put the testosterone patches on the riders' nuts.

They put T patches on the nuts? I would think that would increase the DHT conversion rapidly and not advised.
