Easton Arc Plus 40mm rim question

can i fit a 2.5 inch wide tire on a Easton Arc plus 40mm wide rim? or should i go to a standard Easton Arc at 27mm?

looking to build wheel set for Jones Spaceframe and Jeff's website recommends wide rim at 50mm for a 2.5in wide tire

40mm is a really wide rim. A 2.5 tire, depending on brand, may be a bit narrow for a 40mm wide rim. I'd go with the ARC 30 or ARC 35 if you plan on running 2.5's. For example, the Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5WT (wide trail) are optimized for a 35mm rim width.

I'd go with the ARC 40's if you planned on running 2.8-3.0 tires.

I have a set of wheels with the 27mm rims, they built up really nice. Easton is making some nice stuff right now. For a 2.5 tire the 29 or 30-35mm rims would be a good pair.

Just ordered a pair of Arc 27, 32 hole, 29er for $49.49 each + $10 off if order over a $100.00. Added some socks and order was under $100.00 including shipping.

No 30 or 35mm, 40mm are $62.00

I just ordered a pair of 24mm from there because rhe 27mmm were out. I would be using them with anything bigger than 2.0. I read a few reviews and apparently they are great rims, excited to try them and cant beat that price (I added some nipples to the order to make it over $100 and they are on the way here now)

I own and ride a set of the 27mm Easton Arc rims. Now that Race face bought out Easton they are sold under the Race Face name, stilled called Arc rims.
Great wheelset built up to Hope Hubs.
I had some issues sorting out what tubeless tape to use. The rims are welded, they could have done a better job cleaning up the weld spatter inside the rim. Air up nice with Conti and Vittoria tires using a floor pump.

do you know how easton measures these rims? I got the 24mm and I just read that its internal width so technically the 24mm arc is the same internally (actually a tap wider) than a pacenti tl28 (23mm internal).
