NAHBS 2017 Pix - Part 2

Part 2 just uploaded, with the following builders added to the album:
https://flic.kr/s/aHskW6cWTU

Chris Bishop: two fillet-brazed frames @ painters' booths, Velo Colour and Black Magic Paint
Dave Kirk: Terraplane & Road Best in Show; Gothic Fillet frame pix need lots more work---white balance all wonky
Dave Wages/Ellis: just one road frame @ Velo Colour, but pretty

Kirk balance, DiNucci, Cherubim and the stragglers remain.

Enjoy!

Oh, yah. I'm just adding pix into the album. They all titled by builder and displayed alphabetically, so you can scroll to the new builders. But you kinda have to scroll through the whole mess, 'cause I'm evil that way.

The purple-to-black Bishop with the progressively darker bands was incredible, but Velo Colour's lighting absolutely did it no justice. I had to lighten the shadows to bring out the bands, and it's nowhere near capturing how deep and lovely and subtle it all was.

Velo Colour were the folks that had the Mondrian Kirk at a past NAHBS and Philly. The Ellis at their booth was also beautifully done, and much better in real life than in the photos. Velo Colour doesn't just paint, or throw on cool graphics, they find ways to highlight and compliment the frames lines. Really special.

The Black Magic Bishop was pretty cool, but didn't pull me in like Velo Colour. YMMV.

Thanks much for posting these. The photos are great, and the effort taken to title each one...really outstanding!

Here is your album link again, so that people don't have to go back over to the other thread to find it:

Great pics, thanks for posting the set! A lot of details. I've been trying to catch as much nahbs coverage as possible and have seen a lot of these bikes in studio shots, but somehow your shots on the showroom floor convey a lot more.

Nice pics. Well captured.
So many beautiful products and never enough disposable income (well according to wifey), always the dilemma for me at these shows.
Enjoyed Philly, much of the same, just before the dreaded election.
Almost went for a Della Santa many years ago. As much for the provenance (for lack of a better word) in a general brand sense, as for the clean, classic beauty.
Thanks for the vicarious thrill.
