New Z couplers

Does anyone know about the Z couplers offered by Santana? Look at the ones at the bottom of this page for round tubes -- http://santanatandem.com/Techno/TravelTandemTech.html

They look like a sleeker, easier, more aesthetically pleasing and possibly lighter coupler.

I don't know if a) they work well, b) they can be used on non-tandem bikes, c) whether Santana makes them available to other builders (haven't asked yet), and d) their cost.

Anyone know about them and their performance? If they check the boxes, I would see them as a notable improvement over standard s&s torque couplers.
