Do I need a spacer?

Hey all,
I've undone my rear cassette in the first time in several moons and just now, i'm reaalizing i don't have the 1mm spacer for 10 speed cassettes.
Now i'm wondering if i haven't had one at all, or if I misplaced the one i'm supposed to have. I
Anyone care to help me out?
If it's of any help, it's a Tune MAG 10 speed body and i'm putting a 10 speed ultegra cassette on it (previously had 10 speed cs4600 I believe... )

Thanks!

The Ultegra cassette should come with the spacer. Tiagra cassettes dont use one.

The cassette may not be tight. Check and find out. It may or not work. My guess is, you will need the spacer if your cassette requires it.

if its a 10 speed hub and a 10 speed cassette you don't need the spacer right? only if its a 11 speed hub with a 10 speed cassette

IIRC the 10sp Shimano cassettes that use an alloy spider for the larger sprockets do need a spacer on a 8/9/10sp freehub body.

If the cogset is tight w/o one, don't use it.

For R3AWAK3N-right above..DA, Ultegra, 105 10s cogsets use a 1mm spacer even if on a shimano compatible 10s freehub body. For 11s shimano FH body, a 1mm spacer(that comes with the cogset-shimano only) AND a 1.85mm spacer that comes with the hub(or should).

Before I start a WTB...

Anyone have a spacer from a 10 speed 105/ultegra/dura-ace cassette they'd be willing to ship out?
PM me if you've got something!

One other small but important point: if you're reinstalling without a spacer and you think there may have been one there before, make sure you adjust the limit screw on the RD so you don't risk over shifting the small cog.

(You'd probably have to adjust the RD anyway if this were the case, but...)

I'm actually going from a Tiagra cassette (which doesn't have a spacer) to an ultegra Cassette (which is supposed to have one).
I'm servicing my whole bike (for the first time in three years :S), so i'll (try and) make sure i'm not overlooking important details!
