Alliance Bicycles (Build thread) -- Titanium multi-purpose bike

I'm about to embark on a new build. After calls to a few titanium builders, I decided to work with Erik at Alliance Bicycles, who has been gracious in his time and input.

So, I am creating this thread to chronicle the building process. This bike will/should replace my current multi-purpose (gravel/cx/winter/rain) bike in a Moots Routt. I know. Many will ask why replacing a Moots. It's serving well, but I wanted different features and a bit different fit.

** Build Summary
- Type: All-road/multi-purpose bike; able to accept 700cX40 and 650bX47 tires.
- Parts: Will transfer most of the build-kit from my current bike, with a few exceptions.
- Head-set (new): White Industries
- Bottom Bracket (new): White Industries
- Crankset (new): Easton EC90 SL
- Brakes: XTR M9000 post-mount calipers
- Cassette: 11-32 Shimano XT/Sram xg1190
- Transferred Parts (existing): Shimano 9070 Di2 front/rear; R785 brake/shifters (may replace with the new 9170); Zipp Contour SL bar; Kalloy Uno stem; Pro Stealth carbon saddle; multiple wheelsets; White Industries CLD hubs (thinking about adding an Onyx rear hub); TRP carbon cx fork

** Frame Details
- Material: Titanium
- Tubing: Double-butted main triangle; 38mm top-tube (flattened toward the head-tube); 42mm down-tube; 44mm head-tube; S-bend seatstays (19mm) and chainstays (22mm); seat-tube for 27.2mm post.
- BB: T47 (86mm width; internal bearings)
- Drop-out: Syntace X12; 142x12
- Brake-mount: Post

** Timeline
- 5/1: Spoke to Erik about the build.
- 5/27: Put down a deposit to reserve my place in line.
- 8/13: Finalized the frame geometry and build options. Build will begin this coming week.

Stunning. Not only is the badge sweet, that headtube shaping is beautiful too. His welds look perfect! And the hourglass seat-stays are super hawt. Seems like his turnaround is really reasonable too right now.. Hmm.

For now, I think I'm just going to my current TRP cx fork.

The lines on this thing are just awesome. Hourglass stays, the flare on the headtube, the headbadge itself.

Well done, Can't wait to see this thing completed!

Erik is the top of my list for this kind of bike. I can't wait to see your result.
