So here's the what's what..

This frame shot is just too good not to share.
It's a sweet color, just a little too pink for my tastes.
So it will be redone in Candy Illusion Purple. It's a nice deep purple.
Mike was awesome in helping me sort this out.

Check this out:

I think it looks good as is. Always nice to see a nice aluminum ride.

The Candy illusion purple should be nice. Metal flakes or no?

Powder coat, no metal flakes.
It does have a bunch of silver glitter in there.

The current color is nice but as i said a little
more pink than what i wanted. The red decals
and Chris King bits will pop a lot more.
We tried this and now we are making a few adjustments.

I hope version two turns out perfect for you. I know every time I ride my powdercoated candy apple Zank Alu I realize how beautiful that thing is.

The Candy Apple finish is amazing.
I already have a green bike or would have gone that route.
I wanted to be closer to what the purple Spookys look like.
I'm pretty much sorted. Mike overnight shipped some swatches
so I can finalize the color scheme. This frame looks nasty in any color.

Good News from the Front.

I received word from Mike Z. that the frame has been painted (or powdered) again and it looks incredible.
I asked him for a couple of tease shots because the suspense was killing me.
This color is exactly where I wanted to be on this build.
It's absolutely gorgeous.
I'm hoping to have it in my possession soon and will provide more pics then.

Gentlemen, don your goggles.

I received a link to a Flickr album and a tracking number from Mike Z.

Here is a full frame shot.
I am floored.

wow, that did come out really well.

it totally looks like a blue until you see that shot in the sunlight and the purple really comes out.

my bike also shipped today, and i specifically asked for NO teaser shots, so i'll have to wait.

what are the build plans for this one Artie?

SO GOOD! very very awesome color.

curious, why'd you go with the black fork instead of matching?

Re:

Angry- Congrats man!!
Chorus 11 group, Reynolds 46/66 Carbon Clinchers, Newton bars, Easton 10 degree stem, PMP carbon seat post, Flite 90 saddle, Ciussi cages.

Chiasticon - The frame is powder coated and we can't powder coat carbon, wet paint won't match the powder. Mike usually does matte black paint on the forks.
I asked for a gloss black with some of the silver glitter from the frame to tie it all together. Turned out great.
The Z on the fork crown was inspired by a Firefly fork that we liked.

Fork doesn't really fit the massive head tube. Aesthetically speaking....
Color looks rad !!

Forcella

I thought about the fork when I saw the pics.
Let's see how it looks all built up.
I am not opposed to getting a different fork down the line.
Too soon to be splitting hairs on this.

Thanks!
