Jones Plus 148 TA

Since I'm more of a road guy I haven't gotten a new MTB in a while. Since my '97 Ibis is approaching legal drinking age I figured it was time for a upgrade.

I wanted a steel hardtail however I wanted thru axles, discs, 29+. The Jones fit the bill. I actually used to hang out in Jeff's shop in SoCal way back when and I knew he knew his stuff then. This bike does not disappoint.

I built it up with a XT M8000 1x11 group/discs, DT350 hubs on WTB Scrapper rims with WTB Ranger tires set up tubeless. Thomson bits and Jone's bars round it all out.

Only had a short shakedown ride so far as I just finished it but it feels great. Looking forward to doing some bikepacking this week...

Looks like a lot of fun. I loved the 29+ I had with Jones bars, but it was a touch too small for me. I think I may have to get another this fall.
