ISM saddles

Is anyone here using one on their road bike and if so how do you like it and which model?

Yes. I have the original version which I like, and a later one which doesn't seem to agree with me. However the later one has a different sit point which I didn't know so I need to adjust the saddle fore/aft to place the sit point where I want it.

Original version (my bike):

The version that I have to adjust (my other bike):

Had an ism prologue on my bike, liked it but replaced it with a Spec Power. Considering putting the ism on my other bike

I have one sitting around somewhere. Didn't agree with my sit bones. They do have a ton of fore/aft with the long rails and seem to be well made, but I couldn't find a comfortable spot while riding on it.

I've used the Road and Race models and they've been the best saddles I've tried. I could tell a difference immediately that my weight was all on my sit bones and apparently hadn't been on previous saddles.

I also tried the Podium and I think another model, but those felt different and I think it's because they're more flat front to back. The Road and Race models have a bit of a drop from the back to the arms.

Let me add that I tried an ISM saddle while on a fit bike / GURU thing. The fitter doesn't sell the saddles but suggested I try his saddle based on my position. Told me I should get one off eBay if I liked it.

I didn't think much of it at the moment.

I went home and went to get on my SLR saddle.

I literally got off the bike in a few seconds, scoured eBay instead of riding, and ordered a saddle right there and then. I didn't ride again until the saddle came in.

So it may not feel "great" at first but it definitely makes things more comfy. I'll call it "never a pain".

Disadvantages? It weighs a lot, at least compared to a carbon railed SLR.
