Selle Italia Flite question, help?
Hey guys/gals.
I've been riding a Selle Italia Flite Carbonio for a while. I really enjoy this saddle, no sores, no rub just perfect riding. Recently, last weekend, I flipped my rig over and noticed that it is Broken. It was making really bad squeaking noises and it was a part of the carbon rails underneath the saddle coming loose. Regardless, I went online to find a replacement and it's 300 bucks plus. My question is has anyone found a similar saddle to this model below that fits like this one? I'm in no mood to try new saddles now that I know I've found one that fits so well....any help would be appreciated. |

I have a "2nd generation" flite (looks like that) sitting in my garage. I fit the original shape better. If that is an acceptable alternative, let me know.

I wonder if the Carbonio version has less padding than the standard second gen Flite? The second gens in general seem to have very few fans, took me a long time to get rid of mine. I think oliver1850 had a team edition for sale...well, it may have been a while ago.

Warranty? Plus, I'd turn the seat post clamp on the frame around 180 degrees..little easier on the back of these seatposts...when 180 out, when tightening, the 'hole' stays a little rounder..

I own a stash of these saddles to have a few for back up,
since it works well for me too, and paid much less than that. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Selle-Italia...item3ce501baf5 |

As for this saddle, looks like I'm not going to find one chewer than 175 bucks, or as Jmoore advised I should go with the titanium rails which is substantially less expensive. I'll keep my eyes open on a pre-owned one on the bay, but I've been dying to try out a Tune Speedneedle. |
