Had the same thing on my lightweights, was driving me nuts... was close to sending them to the factory, until the solution occurred to me.

Some company, I forget the brand now, is making tiny rubber grommets to solve this problem as well.

Dirty rear skewer? Had that happen once, somebody on this board suggested it.

once while climbing the parkway near asheville NC I kept hearing a clicking every time I got out of the saddle, it would shut up when I sat back down. It seemed to be in rhythm with my pedaling so I thought pedals or BB as the source. After a lot of testing and fretting I finally figured out it was the sunglasses hanging from my jersey zipper!

I can't find it on their site, but Miche has a pretty neat little stick-on thing if you can't/don't want to swap your valve stem for that super-pretty Silca:

Kind of a nicer version of the electrical tape, but still might be worth checking out...

ticking sound...

perhaps it's that old Thurmon Munson baseball card you left clothes-pinned to the seat stay to make that cool buzzing sound at speed?

Easy fix...

just take the piece of electrical tape start on one side of the rim, wrap around the valve stem, pull taught and afix to the SAME side of the rim, like you made a little collar.

This happens for a few reasons, most often it is door to poor gluing at the stem (or use tufo tape, which is notroious for leaving the space to allow for this).

It can sometimes just be a natural consequence of the world....either way, pretty easy to fix...

tape

I've been trying to solve this same issue for a while, and electrical tape hasn't done much to help. I guess I could just try adding more tape, or I could spend $20+ on those Miche rubber things. I think I'll take a trip to Home Depot and see if I can improvise for less than $20.

A little dab of clear marine silicone or silly putty. Have used both. Neater than tape.

Obviously, it's a carbon frame and you are hearing the timer. Try to find the digital readout.

Only comes from the back
Speed variation (faster when going faster and slower tick when slower)
Both pedaling and non pedaling
Goes away with getting weight forward, intensifies with weight in back
Ruled out speed/cadence sensor and spokes all good
Continues with rear brake applied or released.

Equipement in rear:
Chorus 10spd RD, Cassette, wheel is a HED rim with King R45 rear hub equipped with Challenge Fango Tubulars.

Let the guessing begin!
Clothespin from playing card is loose?
