Biggest tire on a canti Poprad?

My buddy has asked me about tires for his Poprad. He doesn't trail ride (though I am working on getting him to do it) so a pair of fairly road oriented tires would be good. I guess something like a Panaracer Tserv would be good. Lends Flintridge? Clement Xplor??

How wide could they get - 35mm? Are 32mm better?

Any suggestions for affordable touring type tires that are nice and fast rolling?

I rode with the 33.3mm Jack Browns and had plenty of clearance. Those were a good compromise for me at the time (about 3 years ago), where I didn't feel like I was giving up much speed on the road. I'd probably go wider today. Definitely miss my Poprad; shouldn't have sold it.

If he decides to go roadie on you, I currently run 27mm tires with fenders on mine and I have run up to 32mm tires with wider fenders. It's a really versatile frame that's for sure.
