Israel has consistently been in various european events, I guess because of various cultural/economic pressures. They've been in the eurovision song contest for years and years, and I suspect the EU is the biggest trading partner. I'll be watching. |

It's a world peace thing. Starts in Isreal, ends in Vatican City.

call me cynical, but that just introduces an unnecessary element of risk into an already complex operation/logistic.
but hey, it's their race and the organizers didn't ask my opinion. Last edited by 54ny77; 09-14-2017 at 10:06 AM. |

i don't get it. tour of italy? i can get starting in a bordering country where you ride INTO italy, but i dont understand these moves.
as mentioned, no one asked for my opinion, so... hmm, i wonder if i can convince the organizers of the Tour of California to start here in NYC?

I think they'll wave at Turkey when they fly from Ben-Gurion to Italy.

Let's just hope they don't fly Turkish Airlines.

They should fly WOW air. I just got an email that it's $120 each way to go to Israel from NY.

Plus a few countries to negotiate before Turkey and then a sharp left turn in Bulgaria.
