You know what I wish?

...I wish they'd make GP-4000s in 32c.

Next?....

Rivendell has offered some 700x33mm tires that were quite light/supple as well as their slightly heavier tires with anti-puncture belts.

IMO, the Jack Browns are kinda persona non grata since Compass has done the work to develop their tire line.

Gum or tanwall would be great, too -- Conti (and Michelin, for that matter) seem to be far behind the curve on this one. The closest equivalent (what Conti calls "transparent") is inexplicably only available in 700x23.

I wish every company on this planet in the bike world didn't conspire to make their own bottom bracket standard and to a lesser extent come up with their own BCD standards either.

I suspect the advantages of a 4000 in 32 over its 28 brother are few and far between. The 28 will go virtually everywhere a 32 will, and likely ride and perform better. With the 4000 28 mounted on a wider rim such as those in vogue nowadays, you will likely have a tire width very close to 32.

This. Also, if you need a 32, you want the tougher 4 seasons tire.

Having wasted an hour today looking for the right bottom bracket adapter so a customer could use a normal crank on a BBRight bike, I would put the need for standards in the bike industry just a few places under peace on earth...
