bell question

i'd like to try riding with a bell and had a question about placement. my lbs has both the spurcycle (loud) and oi (cute). is there a way i can mount either of them sideways so i can actuate the bell with my forefinger? think bartops with fingers wrapping underneath the bar, so top of bell would be pointing forward so i can flick it with my forefinger.

The Spurcycle bell can be mounted at any point within the 360 degrees around the bar. But only perpendicular to the bar.

I mount my Spurcycle bells facing forward, just a quick slap with the thumb on the tops and it'll get someone's attention.

This mount replaces a headset spacer:

On this bike my setup is such that to actuate the bell it does just take a flick of the index finger.

I have a Spurcycle mounted on the drops like this (not my image):

Not the most aesthetically-pleasing location, but is very convenient from the hoods without having to move your hand off the bar.

you don't need access to the bell at all times. and better to hit it with a thumb than forefinger
