OT - Online mattress company

Does anyone have any experience buying a mattress from one of the online only mattress manufacturers/retailers? We are in the the market for a new king sized mattress, or at least my wife says that we are. We were going to buy a hybrid mattress from our local Mattress Firm but for $2500ish that the local place wanted we can save quite a bit by buying from the likes of:

http://www.saatvamattress.com
https://www.nestbedding.com

If anybody has feedback on buying from these places I'd love to hear it from a place I trust.

Thanks!

Idris

We had a Saavy Rest latex mattress for the last 10 years...wife wasn't happy with it in recent years...~6 months ago we bought a hybrid mattress, "built" to our specs by a (semi) local outfit, out of Marion, IL...Sterling Mattress Factory.

We drove down there and checked out the beds...the owner, Mike, spent some time with us, swapping layers around and also trying out some nano-coils (which I ended up spec-ing).

In the end, we replaced our king-size for ~1500 delivered.

Happy so far, and the top zippered section which allows you to change/swap layers is a nice added feature.

Bed in a box

I bought a memory foam mattress online through bed in a box, and I couldn't be more satisfied. It is much better than the Tempurpedic mattress that I replaced. Firm but not hard. I used to "sleep hot" with the Tempurpedic, the new mattress is nice and cool. King size was less than $1000, a real bargain.

We have a Flo Bed latex mattress and it works well for us. Recommend to a friend who also enjoys the sound sleep the mattress offers he and spouse. Anyway, worth a look if you are shopping...... https://www.flobeds.com

Mattresses are very personal and you have to sleep on them for a while to really know how they work for you. Thus I buy my mattresses at Costco because of the return policy.

As Jeff says, it's very personal. Though I always get a kick out of those willing to cheap out on a $500 mattress just because. Not realizing how important sleep is. Or that you spend a vast majority of your time there. Highly important to get something high quality and makes life better.

Very true...but...the vast majority of expensive "name brand" mattresses are overpriced and built with inferior materials.

It takes some time...but...OP might want to wade thru these, as well:

http://www.charlesprogers.com (this was my original choice, but I built a very similarly spec'd product thru Sterling for less $)

Had good success with https://www.bedinabox.com/. Nice price, good mattress and prompt shipment. They have a 120 night trial period policy as well which means a lot. The mattress comes, compressed, in a box. Once out of the plastic wrap it starts expanding. Pretty cool. Can't say it is heaven on earth, as some seem to claim, but the memory foam is more comfortable to me than any bedding I have has in the past.

COSTCO sells mattresses on-line. Money-back guarantee. Good prices.

I keep on seeing this thread title as online mistress company, and think of Ashley Madison.

Anyone sleeping on a Casper?

Thinking of giving one a try.

Currently on a sterns and foster that was a gift, but at two years in it is already showing signs of "two people sleep here" indentations.

I wonder if my back would fare better with something else. And I'm always hot.

I've had a Tuft and Needle king for about a year and my wife and I agree that it's the best mattress we've ever had. Doesn't get hot and is super comfortable. 100-night money back guarantee. Don't remember what made me go with T&N over Casper, but whatever, I'm happy.
