Pirelli made some nice tubulars back in the late 70's. I raced on them for a couple of seasons. They were as nice as the Clements back then.

This is what I remember--they were excellent quality, and if memory serves, good value for the money. I remember green labels, but not the names of the tires....

YES!! those were the ones, no recall either on model names though, I think I got 2 race seasons out of 2 pairs. I had them glued onto a pair of Ergal rims. I was probably about 125 lbs at the time, that's how they survived.

The announced tires are being made in France by Hutchinson. More specifically, the compound is made in a Pirelli location in Romania and the compound is then sent to France.

The Pirelli P-Zero tires look awesome. Branded on the side like an F1 car. Now all they need are some mountain bike tires too!

I have Veloflex on one bike, Conti GP4000SII on another and just fitted the Pirellis in 25mm to my 3rd bike.
So far the Pirellis tick all the boxes, I will just have to wait and see the results on durability and puncture resistance

Alvarez in argentina had the best ones i ever used. Their 25's were just fantastic, the rubber was recycled off plane wheels, and i never knew how they did it but all their line up of tubulars was pretty much straight and that even now a days is hard, imagine mid80s.
