Cycling trip in Arizona (Oct 2017)
I am Ben Adam, a rider from NYC, looking to spend a week riding the roads of Southeast Arizona from October 26th, 2017 till Oct 30th, 2017. I am looking for riding-partners for this six-day ride.
Here, in New York City, I ride locally with a few riding groups (https://www.facebook.com/groups/203759316410674/). In the past year, I have ridden in such places as: Jamaica, Connecticut, Cape-Cod, California, Cuba and Tuscany (Italy). ("www.CycleBig.com"). I ride a tall-frame hybrid bike and my comfort level is in riding 50-55 miles per day and overnighting in motels. The ride will start at Tucson and stop in the following locations: 1. Oct 25: Green Valley, AZ, 2. Oct 26: Nogales, AZ, 3. Oct 27: Whetstone, AZ, 4. Oct 28: Bisbee, AZ, 5. Oct 29: Benson, AZ, 6. Oct 30: back to Tucson If you would like to join, please let me know. (CycleBig1@gmail.com). You may look-up my recent rides at "www.CycleBig.com", including maps dates and photos. Thanks, Ben (New York City). (https://sites.google.com/site/cyclebiglove/next-ride) |

Do you know that your last leg from Benson to Tucson is on the active I-10 roadway? There's no frontage road for a pretty substantial distance and a lot of it is uphill. May I suggest altering your route somewhat to include Marsh Station Road, that will cut a few miles off your time on what is one of the busiest 80 mph truck routes in the country.
