Want to hear the dumbest crap ever?
After all that work getting the glue off and then mounting tires (which the latter was kind of fun actually), I take these down from hanging to dry and somehow there is a loose spoke nipple in one of the rims. Must have been stuck or lodged in some glue that seeped in there. Wow it's annoying sounding. |

I almost lost...
After another hard battle that I did not seem to win.
Had my Nemesis wheels prepped with GOO GONE, covered with tape and let them sit overnight. No luck. Repeat next day but the glue was still rock hard. Finally pulled out my secret weapon: Let it sit for 30 min. and glue turned into some gooey residue, like old chewing gum. Another light layer of GOO GONE, and I could wipe most of the glue off with a rag. Compressed air to clean out the nipple holes and a final rub with acetone made them look like this: Definitely the fastest and easiest way for me so far, all in all maybe 45 min. per wheel. Glad I am riding aluminum wheels |
