Thanks for the heads up on the sale.

This is helpful.I can't say that my Specialized 44 fits too well so 44.5 Mega maybe the ticket. I might get try it from biketiresdirect when the sale happens.

yea, that was too bad you did not fit those Bettini Ergo 2's. you would have been looking good.

I am a 44.5 in sisi genius 5, 6.6, ergo 2 but 44.0 in wire.

In the days of single BOA s-works I was a 44.0 specialized.

you only need one great road shoe, so find a place you can try on or easily exchange. if the heel mesh in the ergoi 2 didnt blow out I would still be riding them. that said, as I have noted in another thread, I find the wire to be superior to the ergo 2 in every way.

Genius 5 always felt sloppy to me.

I have a pair of giro pro light and those are very nice too and more affordable than the wire.

I will be getting a brand new pair for $187.50. Worth the wait!

Seriously? That would be same as merlincyles but they don't ship to US. But I was hesitant to buy there since I can't return if it doesn't fit.

Yup! For the genius 7 carbon. Just don't mount cleats or you can't return. Call them if you have any questions. It's either biketires direct or western bike works who's doing it.

Just Went Back to Sidi...

from S-Works (I believe the 5 series). Wore 44 in the specialized and ordered a 44 in the Sidi Shot. LOVE these shoes, great fit and feel. I have a narrowish foot and do pronate a bit, so support and volume are an issue for me. Super happy with the new Shots.

The only data point I can offer is that every Sidi shoe I tried was much tighter/more constricted in the toebox than an equivalently-sized Specialized. But note, this was comparing regular Sidi models, not their Mega models.

Wire is slightly smaller for my wide feet. I wore 45 in Genius V, 46 in Wire. My shoe is very slightly too long, but Sidi doesn't offer a 45.5 last. I couldn't find a local mega 45 Speedplay.

This is the second confirmation of this, so I guess I'm 44 after all. Thanks!

Closing the loop

To close the loop and provide additional data point for those who are interested.

I received my Sidi Genius 7 Mega EU 45/US 10.5 yesterday and they fit very well with my feet.

So I know now what my Sidi shoe size is

Good to hear brother! I told you that you'd love them and for $187.50 it's hard to beat.

Yeah, thank you for for the heads up on the deal. Surprisingly they never advertised this price in the website.
