Colored rims were defly a late 90s-mid 00s thing which bled over into track bikes later, but I think it's fun. Just don't go too far with it. The trouble is that anno never quite matches paint.

Never been a fan myself but I can see the appeal for some people.

Gold Shamals are the, um, gold standard of colored rims.
They go well with any colorway.

I seem to remember liking the tangerine CODA / Mavic wheelset that came on s2000s or some other such thing. High visibility indeed.

Wow -- that's a very nice look. I always felt my red Mavic Heliums looked a little odd with the harlequin paint on my Serotta.

as long as you have no other parts that are blue ano I think it could work. Ano rims need to be used carefully.

2001, some other colors on the MTBs. I have the gold 30s on a '98 Silk Road. They look fine on a white bike, but I wish the frame had the Kameleon paint. |

They aren't that blue. Go for it. Could look great w/ Celeste.

Didn't your brake pads match your paint color when you were running the Reynolds wheels in the English??

The Cannondale wheels with matched rim, DT hubs were top shelf.

^^ Yes, that's nicely done. Tasteful. Throw on some blue bar tape (or blue/white splash...gag) and she's likely going to be ruined IMO.
