Ruger has several single action models that handle both cartridges. They come with two cylinders, one for standard .22 ammo and one for .22 mag.

None of my 22s has ever seen a magnum and never will own/shoot one

Yup..I've shot 22 short thru this little revolver..you can actually see the wee bullet leave the barrel.

5280 off Sheridan very good buying experience. Good prices, Yuge inventory. Son suggested it. Zero politics or bumper stickers anywhere(unlike Gunsport).

I'd buy a Savage 22mag rifle and shoot it. Rimfire rifles are cheap and fun.
