insanity
is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. if you can't discuss the problem and possible solutions you are part of the problem. we can grieve, be sad, and still move forward.

50 years of mass shootings... I haven't read about this one yet, but the little I know is just insane. 64 years old? What on earth would make him snap like that? The saddest part for the future is nothing will change. We'll have lots of hand wringing & speeches, but no changes.
50 killed, 400+ hurt. That's just insane. I don't know the shooters name, I don't ever want to know his name. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...ica/?tid=a_inl |

Shock Pray Politicians blather & People take sides Nothing changes- Nothing Everyone should ask themselves how a culture arrives at a point where anger turns into a demonstration of violence intended to kill & injure the most they can. And it is, statistically proven, a largely US phenomenon. Why is that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Problem is...you can't fix crazy. Crazy people do crazy things, most harmless, a few deadly.

US has more crazy people than other western societies? Nope. And sorry, but “crazy” is just the first stage of rationalization. A coping mechanism. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It’s seems to be because we can’t talk politics after an event like this and thus can’t talk any policy which leads to quietly allowing these events to happen without ever having “the right time” to discuss the issue. It should be a two prong approach - grieve AND find solutions. It’s like a domestic violence victim trying to talk to their abuser but the abuser says it’s not the right time to talk because I’m beating you right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's natural, and I know where you want to go...but it isn't going to happen here. A million others sites to go and comment. We aren't going there on this forum.
It's a senseless tragedy that won't be solved here. William |

At this time, I think this is the appropriate response to close the thread.
