I found several tools that must have fallen from construction trucks but the best was while riding on the beach on Mustang Island Texas. Thought I would explore one of the access roads, got stuck in the sand looked down and saw 2 dollar bills. Looked around a bit more and found 2 twenty dollar bills. $42 oh lucky day!

Talking Undergarment!

Buddy of mine found a huge bra (44DD or better) on the roadside. He strapped it on backwards outside his jersey for the rest of the ride. Boy the looks and the laughs for the rest of the ride.
Best part was him helping put up a "friend's" bike, tossed it in the hatchback without him knowing. As fate would have it, next day the wife gets in the car and finds the surprise! Poor guy, telling the truth... Failed. Wifey required a confession from the perpetrator.

Found this today at a pull off where people go to fish close to my usual "around the extended neighborhood" route...looks like trash, and it is....but a quick look on eBay shows it's also a hundred or two dollars worth of Subaru door handles, window
motors, PLUS some good sheet metal stock for small Fiat restoration welding projects PLUS the remainder scrap metal I can toss in with the unusable bikes & parts for the bike charity I volunteer for so they can get more $$ to buy more bike parts....a win, win, win for a scavenger like me!

Oh, and when I go back and pick them up I'm also cleaning up litter!

recent find...and loss

found cable wire, sand paper, and a broken-off LED light which seems to be working. But lost one of my garmin virb camera a few days ago when I took the kids out riding. We stopped over a playground and I took it out to record them playing but left it on a table.

Similar to Mike's, there was a shiny, cranberry bra on the side of the road last Saturday. Looked recent to me. I left it for someone who could use it.

Wei pal. I know it is too late for you camera, but for the future; get yourself some of these labels. Have a first name and phone number on the little lable. We use these for all of our kids clothes, toys, etc... My wife and I also have these labels and use them on electronics, helmets, or anything that can be lost. They have helped us more than once to get things back that we lost. They are waterproof and very durable and will stick well to most surfaces and can be safely removed. Here is a link

Great idea! Thank you black pal. I reckon the folks who found it were trying to locate the original owner but none avail.

Tools, mainly. I got a good pair of channel locks and needle nose pliers. Every now and again, a poor quality knife.

Nothing super interesting. We found an old Fuji Berkeley which my friend took home and stripped for beater parts.

I did walk by a box of old bike parts on the curb on Thursday. I was on a date so I didn't go picking, but I would have had I been on my own.

Last month...seven vintage garden gnomes. Saw a little green hat sticking out of a "free" box. Got 3 down the front of my jersey, raced home and got the car for the remainder. Made in Germany in the 60s. Kept 2, gave the rest away.

Wow, you guys are lucky.
All I find/avoid is empty beer cans and broken bottles. Whatever happened to no drinking and driving? Apparently not applicable in my county.

I found a nice rechargeable Planet Bike rear blinkie tail light about a year ago - much better quality than the one I had been using. I posted it on CL as a found item but didnt get a response so have been using it ever since.

Also found a nice, quality used dildo, this one with a suction cup base.

Stuck it to the top of a friend's Pro-Tec skidlid helmet and he rode around with it flopping and swaying all over like a CB antenna.

Oh, and a pretty hand WV Atlas and Gazetteer.
