Question on Campy compatible Stronglight chainrings

I have a 2006 10 speed Centaur grey compact crank and need a new 50 tooth outer chainring. Was thinking about ordering a Stronglight. Looking at their website looks like I need a 50 tooth Road Type 7045 Campy 110 MM Type C chainring. Can anyone confirm that this is the correct chainring? I don't care that it is a different color.

Any comments about Stronglight chainrings?

If anyone knows of a US source I would prefer to buy domestically but Ribble has these in stock.

If you have other thoughts about compatible chainrings I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Stronglight make EXCELLENT chainrings. Easily the nicest that aren't stock from a company.

They were used as replacements for many pro tour riders cause of how good they shifted. And used for TT bikes before Shimano and Campy made 56th rings. All cause they had shift pins, ramps and were so good.

A place to get them, Mel Pinto Imports used to bring them in. They still do a bit. Any shop can get them for you as well.

Old Potatoe can confirm, but Campagnolo standard 5 arm compact cranks (chainrings do not bolt to "hidden" arm behind the crank), use standard 110 BCD chainrings, and not Campagnolo-specific chainrings. So just about any brand 110 mm 'standard' compact chainring should work.

Yes, I used them as replacement for Campy chainrings for the last 20 years. However, I don't know if it was 110 mm.

That is correct. If the crank is aluminum with 5 arms showing, standard 110mm..if carbon, or hidden arm, 110/112mm.
OP-2006 gray Centaur... aluminum and 110 methinks.

Alan - i think you've got a unicorn there. the alloy ST compact cranks of that error use standard 110 bcd chainrings, NOT the campy specific compact bcd. this is nice because it opens your choice of chainring replacement options up a bit. dont order the campy specific one, order a standard 110 bcd chainring.

My crank is 5 arm alloy so sounds like I need the standard chainring not the Campy specific chainring. On the Stronglight web site this is the Standard Type S in a 110 BCD

I would confirm the above. All 2006 centaur century compacts I have seen are standard 110bcd, not campy hidden bolt rings.
