Which axle do I need, and where would I get it?
Heres the issue.
Have a front rack on my commuter. ( Soma Porteur rack) Commuter runs a Miche Primato track hub on the front. Had to back the 15mm axle nuts off a tad to accommodate the rack. I want to get a longer axle for the hub. Feel safer. Haven't really run into any real issues so far, but still.. Would anyone know where I could source out something like that? Thanks! |

It depends on the thread pitch. Maybe a freestyle axle made for pegs?

Your local bike shop can order the correct axle through Quality Bicycle Products. Wheels Manufacturing sells the axles.
Bring your axle and an end nut so they can match the diameter, thread pitch, and measure the length.

AFAIK there aren't longer front track axles. How many threads is the locknuts grabbing? Maybe thinner nuts w/o a rotating collar? Since no chain tension no real need to have rotating collar. For right below, Wheels only lists 155mm fronts.

I got a longer solid rear for my trailer hitch from wheels manufacturing. Try them.
