Red face

Well, you guys inspired me

Ordered a Surly Straggler frame set in black today from Bicycle Revolutions in Philadelphia (family relation) plus some 700X41 tires (same ones Surly is using on the built bikes)

Will order a set of HED Ardennes with C2+ (25mm rims) when I know the frame set is on the way.

Nice! Look forward to hearing how you like that frame. September will be here before we know it. The Knards look sweet, too.

Sad to say, I forget exactly but I believe it was $575.00

I'm also thinking that since my SRAM Red parts didn't sell that I might just buy bars and a stem (I have a post and saddle) and some SPD pedals and build it outright.

I am debating picking up an XO rear derailleur and XO 11-32 cassette to run with 44-36 chainrings. That would climb just about anything and still be pretty quick on flat stuff

Every ride seems to turn into a gravel ride at some point.

Have had this bad boy since May. It's now my favorite bike. Sorry for the crappy pictures.

Although I knew going in that this frame was a little short for me, I bought it in the classifieds anyway to try out as an experiment (before springing for a custom frame, if I liked the outcome). Finally got it built up in time to ride at D2R2 this year. Very plush.
