Ceramic coating for frames

About to build up a new carbon road frame. Wondering if anyone has any experience with ceramic coatings for frame protection - if it’s worth the time and money while the frame is unbuilt.

Thanks!

Can’t see it being any worst than keeping it bare.

See this just released video from the great Project Farm. $15 to try out the best performing spray solution seems like a solid bet

I love Project Farm.

Ride wrap is likely going to be better protection

I use xpel film on critical areas, real protection. Ceramic is a gloss enhancer not a protectant, it's softer than the clear coat and needs it's own maintenance. Just hit it with a spray ceramic to make it look good and help shed dirt.

Yeah same here, have xpel on main areas and the thicker effeto mariposa shelter tape in more hard impact prone areas. The ceramic coatings are mostly for dirt and water repulsion and maybe some scratch resistance, and was thinking that’s what the OP was asking about. But for impact and gouge protection some sort of wrap is necessary.
