Thanks for the lead. I called JB & in a message, he said it was possible but there may be some pitfalls (sounds scary). I'll check out Velo Colour. I just think the etching looks so nice on a SS frame.

This guy should be arriving at its new home in northwestern Montana today. It's a traditional stage race bike built to work with a 32 mm tire and on a mix of surfaces. It's a JK Special with Terraplane seat stays, Ultegra Di2, HED 25 mm wheels and 32 mm Conti tires.....should be fun.

Oh yeah! Can't wait to see the rest and, ahem, to ride it!

Thank you JB for the excellent paint work and thank you Dave for creating the superb stainless steel canvas.

Sure, no problem. I will probably put up a post in the Custom Bikes section. Dave is waiting on back-ordered cranks and then there's the shipping to Maui. Shipping to the islands always cost more and takes longer -- paradise tax. I'm hesitant to suggest a time frame since every time I do it seems to push the delivery date out but I think we're down to weeks rather than months.

It's pretty exciting to be so close.

Agree. Beautiful. Nice that Dario's FB page is giving Dave's frame (and talent) a worldwide audience.
