Lubing the inside of a frame pump barrel

Just cleaned out my old Mt Masterblaster frame pump.
It's clean but squeaking a bit when I pump.

What's a safe lube to use to silence the barrel/ plunger that won't break down the rubber or plastic?

I bought the silca oil when rebuilding my old floor pump. I'd recommend that

Topeak only gives numbers of distributors to contact on their site. Called the Canadian number and the guy had no idea.

Pretty surprised for a relatively big name.

Try Flow. It's safe for both leather and rubber and resists getting gummy. A favorite of mine.

You can use Tri-Flow or a thinner grease. Those work fine. Tri-Flow will wake up the old grease if you are just wanting to do that. Otherwise use grease. If you have Phil Tenacious Oil, that works well also. Just very drippy is all.

We used Park PolyLube at Lezyne. But When I was out in the field, I used Motorex Grease. It's the same grease Shimano uses in their cable housings. It's thinner and works really well.

I would go with a heavier grease, light oils will dry out. With a frame pump, its going to sit for weeks, hopefully, months without being used.

The problem with heavier grease is they clog the check valves.

I'm seeing other threads mention the use of silicone based lubes.

Don't over think it. A light application of any good lube will work well. I'd go with grease.
