One of my all time favorites. Also agree on Happycampier bikes are all very tastefully setup.
ps. That Ti DeSalvo is also something else. I was in secret talks with DRZM to buy it from him but is too big for me

Yeah that is a stunner.

I will admit there are tremendous photographers on the forum. Always envious of their ability...and usually their bikes as well.

Lemme see if I can do this. This won't be easy and I'm sure I'll leave out a bunch...

But this one probably takes the cake for me...

(wait for it)

Boom.

I always love these 'my favourite bike' threads because everyone has a different aesthetic both for their own things and for others things.

I agree that every bike shown here is cool, but most of them have some key characteristic that excludes them from being a Platonic Ideal.

for me, the fat tires on the Firefly, the SMP saddle on the Serotta, the big stem on the Guchi, or the Zoncolan saddle on the Desalvo are define a quirkiness versus a visually perfect bike.

The Hampsten is pretty close, though I am a threadless guy.
The Ellis is pretty close, though its so damned big!
The Serotta Legend is pretty close, but for the saddle (which I have heard are amazing).

Christian's Hampsten is one that comes to mind as perfect.
There was a 44bikes hardtail on here that was also a perfectly proportioned bike.

There is no such thing as universal perfection, but I love seeing what we all identify as being 'perfect'. I can see from this response that I am focused on saddle aesthetics.

i love everything about it. painted Ti, and the raw back of the seat tube to prevent paint damage from debris. rim brakes! perfect component spec. super top tube paint detail! well done DRZRM!

That's my old bike, now in the able hands of DRZRM. The inspiration for the paint, actually it's powdercoat, was a motorcycle helmet:

Actually it's powdercoat...
(Who do you get to do powder like that? I've got a guy who does respectable work but only solid colors, won't touch panels or anything complicated.)

Meanwhile: Of all other forum pals' bikes, the ones I like the best are -- naturally! --the ones I've bought!

Can't post them, though, not here.

ahem...er...actually....some pals would prefer "curved" fork to straight fork. I, personally, is ok with either.

And...matching water bottles would be nice.

It has a curved fork! And a rack. And custom bags. Much funniness going on with my Hampco, care of Eric at Winter Bicycles.

Also, it is 100% ok to tell me I am painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa, and that I deserve a kick in the nether regions. Because maybe this was a bridge too far.

It is a bridge not far enough. Look forward to seeing the Winter fork and rack installed.
