Lately I've been listening to a lot of the different artists hanging out and jamming at Daryl's House. Live music played by real people who can actually play, jam, improvise, and have fun while doing it.

Booker T.

Billy Gibbons

And the whole Joe Walsh episode.

Today - The Elvis Brothers.
All the Chuck Berry hoopla made me think of a guy I attended high school with, one Rob Newhouse. Rumor had it that he played in Chuck's band. I remember his band Coal Kitchen from my College Days, then went on to The Elvis Brothers, capitalizing on the Stray Cats momentum.

Nice seeing mention of GP and Big Star.

There's a new blondie song I heard recently, as well as a new Weezer song...the Blondie song is pretty much a classic Blondie song. The Weezer song is a departure from classic Weezer, and has followed the trend of their last few songs (and album) and is keeping up with the times as far as "alt-rock sound"
