nice phone mounts
Every once and a while i would like a nice phone mount for a ride. Curious about what other people might be using and what they like. I want to use it for directions primarily. I thought that i would like to try and find some kind of out front mount like a garmin on a K edge, however, that doesn't seem easy to find. Most of the nice ones seem to use the headset cap or stem itself and hold the phone over the top of the stem. I guess that would be a little easier to access but i do not like the looks of it very much.
well anyways, pictures of peoples set ups and experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I use the regular Quad Lock case and mount and really do like it. The case is very protective.
Here is the out front mount https://www.quadlockcase.com/products/out-front-mount |

Quadlock works well. I generally only use it indoors but do bring the stem mount on vacations so I can use ridewithgps for directions.

I do. It's relatively sleek.

I just got a life proof mount for my iPhone case. It's magnetic with a 1/4 turn removal and lock so you can't turn it. It seems solid after a few weeks of riding every day. Only downside is you have to stick a rectangular thing on the back of your phone. I don't mind it at all in my pocket.

Depends on the version of the case:
Been using QL cases since my iPhone 3 (or 4? don't recall exactly). Until they came out with a sleeker and soft(er) plastic version, I swapped them since the older one was horrible for everyday use, biggest complaint: way too slippery. The new one is great even though I find myself to use my jersey pocket more and more. I really like their car mount which I use daily for my commute. |
