Went through many different setups on this bike. Pictured with a much sought-after carbon/ti Serotta seatpost.

I've always dreamed of having one of these... Missed it twice. Once....way, way back in the day when one was in a bike shop I visited. A second time was when one was on the bay awhile ago. If anyone knows of a 57 around for sale, let me know.

My $0.02

I think it is so easy to go overboard with custom paints. As in, 'it seemed like a good idea at the time'. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, is it not?

Love the look of Black Steel, Ergott's bike, and the green CSI with matching fenders. I think this one is nice, but you have to like white bikes.

That said, I've lucked into a few which I thought were very nice and which stood the test of time:

Legend Ti

Ottrott ST

The Ottrott, in particular, had the most amazing finish I think I've ever seen on a bike. Gloss black to clearcoat carbon. The pictures don't come close to doing it justice. In addition, it provided an incredible ride, but after several years I was forced to admit it didn't fit right and so I let it go. I miss it.

Here is my number one all time favorite paint ever "Elliptic". I actually had a C50 Painted Elliptic with some slight color changes; Blue as the primary color choice.

I acquired a Meivici I am considering have it painted like this too.

RC's CSI

Was originally a red/yellow fade, but I still think it looks good now.

What are the most gorgeous Serotta's you've seen?

My first CSI! I loved that fade!

The second CSI, which I refinished

Picked it up for my son, who promptly outgrew it before I built it.

It's been calling me for a while and I think I finally will do something about this itch.
