Could be a fit issue?

I had one aluminum road bike and one aluminum mountain bike. Both are gone. I don't care at all for aluminum. I have owned a couple of early '70s steel bikes as an adult. Two Raleigh Grand Sports and a Centurion Super LeMans. The Look 585 is the only carbon I have owned. I have had a couple bikes with carbon forks.

It's OK. Not everyone likes every bike. I once had a Ti bike that I would place near the bottom (or at the bottom) of the higher end bikes I have ever owned. I wanted to love it but it was awful and I never missed it after I sold it.

Ride what inspires you and what you enjoy. Don't worry about what others like unless you like it as well.

I've been on the Look bandwagon for literally nearly 30 years since I first rode one. But not everyone has to like everything.

Variety is good.

IMHO (and IME) the Look 585 is the perfect carbon complement to steel bike ownership.

My 2c.

Wow, nice collection! Upon consideration of your stable, I think that junky old Look (58cm, approx?) will simply dull your love of cycling and should probably be given to your good friend Veggieburger...it's for your own good...

I am 6'3" tall. The bike is an XXL. I have everything setup to match the measurements of my other bikes.

That may be it right there. 585 came in only 6 sizes?

This was an unfortunate reality.

Before I got into 585s I owned a 381. It was also a great bike but a bit less stiff and had a proprietary seatpost clamp design that wasn't going to live forever, so I moved on. The sizing of the 585 was never my favorite thing.

Realistically I'm probably somewhere between the L and the XL. I make do with the XL and it's great but really there ought to be more than 6 sizes.

The 381/481 had like 14 different sizes.

This is my old 56 CM KG381. The 381/481 came in many sizes at 1 CM increments.

Honestly, I sort of wish I still had it, but ya can't keep 'em all!

Look 585

If anybody has an extra large Ultra F/F/HS in great shape that they are sick of I might be able to help.
