Thanks for info...I believe it on the tread...have been wanting to try the Maxxis Refuse out in the same type of width but each time I hit an incline with some loose I enjoy a bit of bite...

These tires are much better than Refuse. I would recommend getting them. Pros out weigh the conss.

I second the sentiments about Compass tires. They simply do not fail and are an amazing ride. I love the 700cx44mm which allow me to float over deep sand and ride forrest roads like they are velodrome rings.

This bike had been built to clear 700x35... so I felt like it was worthwhile to see what 650b fatties could do. 650b x 47mm WTB Byways. So cush!
