Garmin Dash Cam

https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/prod146282.html

has anyone here seen this? Its a new product to me. Its not really a bicycle product yet, but it looks like it could be. I would like a camera like this for my motorcylce riding. I don't really need a GoPro but I would lke the events of any accident to be recorded and seems to d just that.

After using a couple different cheap dash cams ($100 each) and my DroidX and LG G2 as dash cams (Dailyroads app, free to use with all basic features), I ended up moving to the Ojocam:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA4KN1ER5435

The only thing is that I can't save a "scene" per se, I have to download it off the car. With Dailyroads the phone is up in front of you, like a GPS device, and you touch the screen to save the last whatever (default is 4 min, I set it to 2 min).

The LG can have a terrible rolling shutter effect, unviewable. DroidX was great. Ojocam is great.

We have dash cams front and rear of both cars and in the Expedition I use the LG G2 up front for lack of something else.

I've been running the "Street Guardian." Seems to work pretty well so far, disappears behind the rear view mirror on my Golf. Easy run for the cord so it's tucked out of sight. I'm sold on the concept and recommend it. I also run one out the back. Harder to route the cord, but it works. I think we'll see a big jump in this technology in the next couple of years. I'm not really interested in one on my bicycle.

This looks like a great idea for a bike.

I was at West End Bikes in PDX a month or so ago and the owner had one mounted on his commuter. He swore by it and somebody else in the shop told me that one of his friends forwards the videos of butthole drivers to the police and to the local news stations.

I'm willing to bet money the guy on that R1 is no longer alive or at least in one piece! It's only a matter of time.

Looking to get a dash cam. I looked into this one, but I am looking for something a little less in price...I guess closer to the $100.00 range.

Any ideas?

I really like my Fly6 (second generation). Just turn it on and go. You just ahve to remember to recharge it. The light itself is pretty good too.

I have one. It was given to me. It's a decent product, but I would not spend $249 on it considering all the alternatives out there for less than $100 on amazon.
