NOS Cosmic/CXP rim

Fairly new on here, but looking for some advice from the forum.

I just picked up a NOS 20h Cosmic Expert tubular rim. Once I got it in hand, I figured out it is the same profile as the CXP30s. Would love to find a 24h CXP tubular to build a wheelset for my Tommasini, in an effort to not ride my Shamals on a daily basis..

Even though I purchased this with the intention to keep it as a spare, curiosity is killing me and I am itching to build up another set of wheels.. I've already have a usable Cosmic Expert Sh8-9 wheelset, tires are glued and I don't want to rip them off just to look for the infamous rim inserts that are necessary for the CXPs.

Are these inserts still available from somewhere? Shot in the dark, but anyone know where a 24h tubular rim is laying around at?

You may be new, but it sounds like you will fit in.

Inserts are real hard to find. mavic had some about 2-3 years ago..I doubt anymore. Maybe find a toasted CXP-30 rim somewhere but think it's going to be tough.

24h tubie rim..Velocity used to have a ProElite, 24h, tubie rim...

I did do some research and forum digging before posting, and I knew they weren't easy to find. Hoping someone has one or two, I have a machinist friend who said he'd make me as many as I want if he had samples.

Found a ProElite as well (in silver also, but discontinued as well), and its definitely an option, but would like to do a cxp if possible. I know its a hope and a prayer that someone is willing to part with one for a reasonable price (even a used, no beat up one i'd consider, doesn't have to be new.)
