Riding in Elkhart Lake WI

I am leading a group there to stay for 5 days in June. Any people in the area or know of routes? I have found several that look good on Ridewithgps but could use some more local input.

Planning to ride around Road America one night as you can ride the race track.

Appreciate the help!!

Alan

Lord, it’s even many years (30+) since I rode in that area. I extended a day of an organized week-long ride for a lady to get in her first century.
I just plotted out country roads that took me where I wanted to go (Elkhart Lake for ice cream).

Suggestions:
The old race circuit around the lake.
Most of these are in the Plymouth area:
Old Plank Road Trail parallels Route 23 into Sheboygan.
Interurban Trail from Sheboygan to Grafton. Port Washington, Grafton, and Cedarburg interesting places to look around.
Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive. Had driven years ago in anticipation of a bike tour; nice meandering scenic roads.
Check out the town of Kohler and “the wall of toilets”.
MTBed one of the Kettle Moraine parks. Couldn’t figure out why the large crowd was gone by 9:30. Until I loaded up. Mosquitos. Killer mosquitos.

In Wisconsin, I just pick out interesting looking back roads and go for it.
Pretty much a laid back place to ride.
There is a shop called Bicycle World in Sheboygan Falls. Might give them a call.
Just found online state and local bike maps: https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/trave...s/default.aspx

Have fun.
