Actually it´s embarrassing since you can buy a better carbon bike at half the price.

I've loved my Serotta bicycles, and still ride them regularly.
Been a big fan of the company too.
I think the number of these bikes that will sell at full retail is zero.
They may get a few out on the road at a discount to friends and family as they launch. But I think the market they are targeting disappeared 10 years ago.

Better: Pinarello Dogma.

Subjective and that dogma with wireless etap hydro discs and zipp 202 would certainly not be half price.

I have to agree here. Different strokes for different folks. I absolutely loved my Serotta bikes and I'd rather have one of these than a dogma. I'd never pay what either would cost though.

If it´s all subjective than i declare any Surly is better than any Serotta. Because i love my Surly.

And those new Serottas look like a 2k frame and fork. Looks are subjective too... not the Look bikes, those are objectively great racing bikes.

Just ask those who have ridden a Dogma and many other high end frames.

I'm sure that the dogma is a top level fantastic bike for those looking for that type of bike. Serotta steel bicycles are hard to beat though. I've owned plenty of bikes and still have a surly and a couple of Serotta bicycles as well as others. Ben may be out of touch with his pricing, but he still makes and developed some of the finest bikes ever made imho. It doesn't mean that it's for everyone, but the same goes for the dogma

I have ridden lots of high end frames, probably more than most.

And if you think your surly is better for you then bike x then probably it is for you. Personally i dont care much for surlys.

Neither do I. I don´t even have a Surly. It was just to show subjectivity has it´s limits.

Is it that hard for you to believe that a Ferrari is not the best option for all ppl trying to buy a new car to drive to work? or for their weekend get aways?

Is it impossible that an m3, bentley or even a Morris mini is for some a better and more appealing option?
