If I up the order to 5 chains, shipping goes up add'l $5, on Ribble shipping goes down to $0
I buy from Great Britain occasionally. But always check competitive cyclist or excels ports etc first. Campy record 11 chain is $44.99 at competitive cyclist and$50.00 at Excel both of which usually have free shipping with minimum purchase. I also always Google for a retail coupon and it is amazing how common it is to find a 10-20% off coupon for an order.

I've ordered a few things from them (as indicated, some things are cheaper there, some not) with no issue, and cheap ($17) express air shipping means you usually get them within 3 or 4 days - often faster than I can get things from the east coast of the US!

when buying from UK, it's considered gray market which means no warranty with local dealers so check they're policies. lots of players over there, also check chain reaction for good deals.

another us site to check is biketiresdirect.com

Is Ribble legitimate? I worry about warranty through campagnolo if something were to happen. I'd rather spend the extra $50 for a full group with warranty.

I never had to file a warranty claim, however, Campy's website accepted the serial # when I registered 5 years ago.
IIRC, if I had to file a claim I would have had to return the component to the Campy UK Service Center.

…and it was more than $50 I saved on my Record Grouppo.

If you do have to file a claim shipping parts and what not would add up and make the $$ saved neglible wouldn't it? How much did you save on a group? If you don't mind me asking

Paid 1680 5 years ago for Record, (with a chorus cassette).
(I got it from PBK, although I use Ribble or Wiggle now).
When buying Campy, I never worry about the warranty — the quality is that good.

Good to know! When I looked at groupsets on there it won't let me change the cassette option. It only lets me stick with the Chorus cassette. Are you still on the same Record group?

It just doesn't seem like currency conversion and a strong dollar can account for that big a difference.

Yep. This eTap came from Lordgun.

ordered a couple times now with good results and great prices.

Did you have to pay the import duty tax that applies to purchases over $800? If so, how much was the tax? Thanks!
