I really think Quintana,Nibali and Pinot worked together hoping to secure a podium place to deny Dumoulin a spot but I think Dumoulin just might pull it out tomorrow, I'm rooting for him. Whether he gets the top step or not is to be determined but he'll secure one of those steps.

It is the last stage of a tough three-week race, I suppose anything could happen.

That said, it is a flat route; Quintana is probably going to lose maybe a minute or more to Domoulin. Not sure Pinot or Nibali can beat him either. So barring a mechanical or an accident, I suspect things are looking good for TD.

Final placing. Quintana plays it too safe and never seems to sustain an attack, keeps him from beating someone like Froome.

1) Dumoulin
2) Nibali
3) Pinot

I know what you mean, but I think this is easier said than done. The pace on the climbs is already high, then trying to attack and sustain that to take out significant time on your rivals takes a special effort, which would be tough to repeat day after day, especially during the third week of a grand tour.

These types of efforts seems to be getting less and less frequent, which makes me think that the sport is cleaner now. No more of that EPO-fueled USPS team time trials up the mountains (well, Team Sky does it to a certain extent, but nowhere near the heydays of the USPS team).

Quintana and nibali failed yesterday to put distance from TD, they had the chance and nobody pulled...I do get that probably is because they were running empty but at that point of the race you have to do as hinault, they lacked the contador's vision of a race.

If nothing happens to TD tomorrow my final podium will be...

TD,pinot Nibali.

Even could be..

TD, pinot and then zacarin if zacarin if he has a good day tomorrow but I do not see quintana even making to the podium, IMO he will get like 5th place.

I am rooting for TD. More than anyone else this year he's shown courage, class, strength, tactics...he's the $hit.

I've enjoyed watching him race as well and hope he earns the victory tomorrow.

So many Quintana doubters/haters, but I'm hoping he stays in pink.

Great day to watch a start. Rode through some beautiful prosecco country in the a.m.

Then got to the start line. Our VIP area wss right next to the sign-in so a lot of riders came in to sit awhile.

Tomorrow we'll be right on the finish line. Dumoulin wins
